The association aims to provide students at academic medical centres in Belgium with a deepened and broadened understanding of surgical disciplines. Thus, in line with our target group’s existing curriculum, more comprehensive surgical knowledge will be provided and various surgical skills will be practised and/or refined. In addition, we hope to provide a platform for medical students who are considering further surgical training to give them a better understanding of this speciality, so that they can find out earlier in their medical career whether the choice for surgery suits their interests and qualities.
