The Archeological Workgroup is an association focused on archeology students. We try to organise several activities related to our studies, but also try to broaden our horizon. These activities include, inter alia, museum visits and trips to archeological sites and other historical places. We help our students being up to date with the latest research in our field by making important lectures and contact days more accessible. But we still remain a student association, so besides these more serious activities we also offer more fun and relaxing stuff like the ‘archeological saloons’, summer trips, hikes, fencing and other sports, evenings in a bar in Ghent, etc. Besides our activities, the Archeological Workgroup also publishes ‘het Sleufje’, the archeological students magazine par excellence. Here you can catch up with the latest news of the faculty, read very interesting and fun articles, solve puzzles or quizzes and learn about the adventures of the AW. The magazine is published a few times a year and is completely free. To manage all of this the AW tries to meet as much as possible. Everyone is welcome at those meetings. Enjoying a snack and a drink, sitting at the fireplace, we discuss the more and less important items with relevance to our association and the world outside.
