Just a few meters away from the famous Overpoortstraat, student restaurant Kantienberg and the Albert Heyn, Home Fabiola is perfectly located for the student who wants to walk as little as possible. The building was built in the sixties and counts 224 rooms of 12 m². It includes a study room, a solarium with a roof terrace and a break room where you can watch tv with your roommates, play foosball, pingpong, pool or enjoy a drink every Wednesday night. Thanks to all these common areas it is fairly easy to forge close friendships. The residents start to feel like a second family pretty quickly; everyone knows everyone and is there for one another. Are you troubled, do you need a good conversation or are you just looking for someone to go out with? Knock on the door of someone on your hallway and you will definitely find a person who can help you out. To enhance those friendships, there is a home council that organizes weekly sports and cultural activities. We attend plays, explore Ghent by bike or with a pub crawl and work out during our weekly start-to-run in a parc (or start-to-sport in case of bad weather). There are bigger events as well. Every semester we organise a quiz and a wine and cheese tasting slash gala. One thing is for certain: at Home Fabiola you won’t find the time to get bored!
