The Military Student Association UGent contributes to a successfull combination of a military training and an academical education at the University of Ghent. We organise information-sessions regarding military subjects and cohesion activities for members. Furthermore we try to contribute to the integration of military students within the faculties at the University of Ghent.

The association was founded by military students who persue a training at the Royal Military Academy (the Officer’s school of Belgian Defence) and at the same time an academical training at the university (for example: medicine, dentistry or industrial sciences). The Military Student Association aims to support their students in their education, but every student with an interest in Defence is welcome! You do not have to be a military student, nor have a military background to participate in our activities or become a member of our association.

The opportunities of jobs and trainings are large, but often unknown by most students. The MKU aims to be a contact point for students who show interest in the military world.
