Have you always wanted to delve into the dark arts and learn how to make computers do what you want them to? Then you’ve come to the right place. Zeus is situated in the basement of S9, because computer scientists don’t need any sunlight…
Zeus WPI is the student association par excellence for everyone interested in computers, computer science and everything related to it.
Do you have a(n idea for a) project and do you want some help or feedback, do you want to contribute to running (open-source) projects, just do some random stuff with computers or have a spot to hang out with other computer scientists? Then the basement is the place to be. If you don’t have any experience with coding or bigger projects, we would love to help you get started.
We organise code-nights multiple times per year. Those evenings are primarily about being together, but since we remain computer scientists in our heart, we code as well.
These code-nights are sometimes related to the theme of one of our many programmes: the counting system for the ‘12 hours run’, the Hydra app (definitely worth a try) and gamification (because for us coding can be a competition, but participating is more important than winning).
During the week you are always welcome to share your passion for computer science or just hang out and exchange some ideas.
You can also visit us for a Linux-install (there is a Linux Install Party, an event where we install Linux).
